What Do Employees Want in 2025?

During high talent wars you will want to ensure that you understand what your employees want. That helps in not only attracting in demand talent but also retaining current talent. From a strategic perspective seeking ways to align employee needs with organizational strategic goals are a win-win.

One way to understand employees needs is to simply ask them.  Yep...its that simple! Start a conversation! If you have a small business and have fostered a strong employee-employer relationship then chat around the water cooler works just fine. If your a little bigger, or want anonymous responses, you can conduct an employee survey. 

In addition, if seek to understand the wider market then you would consider reviewing workplace surveys. I included below 2025 and 2024 so you can see some of the themes. Much of it comes down to how we treat employees, purpose, and chances to grow with the company. 

Go out and review some employee surveys online and you will get a descent grasp of 2025. More surveys are likely to come out soon as many polls are in the process of being conducted just before the year starts.
